I don’t think guests should be allowed to post without registering. Otherwise the gates are open for abuse without being able to bring the culprits to account.

This sounds like an Admin decision. Perhaps membership might be based upon a combination of registration details and the Network MAC ID of legit users? Draconian anti-piracy measures should have more use than just inconveniencing the users, given that it took the hackers two weeks or so to overturn it. I have little time for the opinions of freeloading pirates. I would say that it’s nice to have a more open rather than closed “club feel” especially as it’s such a niche market we’re in. Should we be closed to those serious people who are interested genuinely in vocaloid, seeking information, but haven’t taken the plunge and actually shelled out for it yet? The lack of listenable material on which to make a firm decision will understandably bring people to this “club”. Mind you, given that cracked pirate versions are freely floating about now, it wears my ass paper thin to think that some spotty kid who hasn’t paid for something will get all shirty and want to pick your brains for free just ‘cos they don’t have a manual to refer to….. ultra tedium… :(

I’ve asked admin about this. I don’t think we mean “people who are not registered users of Vocaloid” – just people who haven’t registered on the site. It is possible to post anonymously at the moment. That’s the problem.
Cheers
Chris

And also I know there have been a few comments posted by registered users that forgot to sign in (me guilty) that were then marked as a “guest” comment, which can add to the confusion of who’s saying what

Well when/if Admin sees the wisdom of what we’re saying, then no one except those registered and logged-in should be able to post.

This issue should be resolved now. Let me know if it happens again.

Hi to all ,
I read this thread and i agree with you, guest must not allowed. Because if guest are allowed then they post any topics at anywhere and we lose our answering system.

A guest means someone who is not logged in. Being a subscriber means you receive newsletter emails, which is an unused feature of the site engine.

Guests are blocked from posting messages, otherwise the forum would be destroyed by spammers and robots.
