Hi Folks

I had a busy week end, gardening and making new songs for an upcoming cd. So I have just downloaded the upgrade, but have not installed it yet.

Anyone that have tested the upgrade?

My first reaction is that it speeds up my work rate. The now-functioning play with synthesis means I can now make a small change to a note or phoneme or whatever, and play back the result instantly without having to wait for the whole lot to render. This alone was worth the wait. I have had a quick look at VST and it seems to work in Cubasis, complete with the possibility of tweaking things like harmonics and resonance while the file is playing. Another very useful feature. I tend not to work this way, but it is useful now to be able to hear live, the effect of changing these parameters.
On the other hand, the damn silly bug where you get “save as” instead of “save” is still there.
Cheers
Chris

:D
The upgrade is very good it certainlt speeds things up. I find that you can work with larger sections of song with no long delays while rendering. I have only just tried the play with synthesis. this is brilliant, I will use this method of working from this moment on. VST, I will reserve judgement on that for now, as I cannot yet get that to work. the rewire facility is problematic in as much the vocaloid is distorted, noise is added which makes it impossible to work with.

The speed and smoothness of play is greatly improved. I dont get all the jumping while playing within vocaloid editor now. I do get a little more delay when stopping now, but I can live with that.

Now I also tested the new release, just the vocaloid stand alone. Mmm, it is much faster now. :) But I will wait for YV enhancer, before I’ll make any new hard efforts.

Excuse a newbie question at this point, but what is the YV enhancer?

YV enhancer is software under development by Jasmin Music Technologies. To find out more, look at their demos on the demo pages, they have their own category. Also check out postings by Alexei Ustinov, who is the guy developing the software. There are links to their website in the posts. The software is designed to make using Vocaloid a lot easier. Be the judge yourself of whether or not it [u:u47gsqg9]sounds [/u:u47gsqg9]any better….
