If you used “twangy” phonemes, would it be possible for Leon to emulate a country singer?

Yep. Old Leon sings pretty good country. Any mis-pronounced words and I just say thats the way we talk in Texas. I just posted “Blue by Lee Ann Rimes. Came out pretty good. Had to goose old Leion to get him to yodel though. But I did manage to get a little bit of a yodel out of him.

I could not find it on the Vocaloid site. Is it in MIDI format? I do not have Vocaloid, would it be possible to post the MP3 so I could listen to it?

Thanks!

it will be in the Mp3 and in the midi section. I’m not posting the midi backing so if you want it you will have to pm me. I also just finnished posting The Dance by Garth Brooks. Sometimes takes the admin a day or 2 to post but keep looking. It will be there.

Gray, thanks for posting the MP3’s (“Blue” & “The Dance”). The vocal lines were pretty accurate — good use of pitch bend, etc.; however the sound quality of the vocals was very muddled making the words nearly impossible to understand. The backing music was very clear, so my question is, what could be causing this?

Basic Vocaloid sound quality?
Vocaloid settings not optimized?
Sound card?
Mixing/effects?

Any input appreciated…

Vocaloid is very pitch dependant and expression dependant. I’m hoping I will eventually get better at bringing out the best in Leon. I’m thinking Blur would sound better with Lola as the singer. Some words he does okay, others I have to try alternate phenomes and some words he just cant say correctly. But I notice many demo songs are getting better. So maybe we’re on the right track. I’ve posted enough tracks that you would think I should have learned something by now.
