We need people who are enthusiastic Vocaloid followers like you.

VOCALOID Producers…
I really don’t know where the Japanese producers hang out, but for everyone else, Vocaloid Otaku[/url:slhphwxs] is the most popular VOCALOID community and they have a specific forum just to show work that you’ve made, and a good number of people post there, not to mention that they have a thread for VOCALOID tips and tricks. Zero-G and PowerFX have their own official section there, but they don’t post there a lot…

There are a few non-Japanese producers popular in the VOCALOID fandom. Those, from what I know, would be Doofus-P (Best SONiKA user EVER IMO)[/url:slhphwxs], Puffihn[/url:slhphwxs], Sango[/url:slhphwxs] and Giuseppe[/url:slhphwxs].

Truthfully, I would think that they’d hang here, because this is "VOCALOID Users" not "VOCALOID Fans", but whatever. :U

thanks for the heads up

VocaloidOtaku is what it is – A gathering of American fans who are the closest to Real Otaku’s in Japan.

Unfortunately, I can’t keep up with their sense of enthusiasm and hard-core followings. I can only take cosplaying, figurine collecting hardcore Vocaloid Otaku fans in small doses!

Saying that however, I will make my way in there though soon, it might end up being the sole source in America where people go and listen to Vocaloid music! Like the fans, I love Vocaloids too!

Otherwise thanks for letting me know your research thus far.

OK. Just remembered there are unreleased voices. :3

VOCALOID CV-4Cβ[/url:21kk9s7g] – VOCALOID voice made for Japan’s Android HRP-4C.

MetalGearsLOID[/url:21kk9s7g] – VOCALOID voice developed for the final boss in "Metal Gear Solid: Peace Walker" using the "VOCALOID-flex technology.

Project if…[/url:21kk9s7g] A voice made by Crypton… I have no idea if they ever did anything with it or if it just went to the trash. :U I sure hope not…

Mee and Uu (Meaw)[/url:21kk9s7g] – These two caused great confusion amongst even Japanese VOCALOID fans. Mee and Uu were introduced through a video on NicoNicoDouga, animated by Tripshots, who made the PV "Nebula" and designed the ProjectDIVA Arcade cabinet. One of the few tags on the video was "VOCALOID". While it’s actually still not official, Mee and Uu are thought to be unreleased voice banks provided by the Thai idols "Neko Jump" You can buy "Meaw" song albums.

Macne Coco (Black) is on the market again~
Act2 MacNe bot[/url:3vgw8y1y]

I’m doubting that we’ll see anything new until VOCALOID3 is released, but that’s OK because the VOCALOID family is sort of over populated. :/

Alright. While there’s nothing really worthwhile in news, I’ll post what I can.

Everyone’s VOCALOID project[/url:1zxfbsjr] will start on the 25th of February. From what I get from Google Translate, it’s nothing terribly amazing. You send in a design for a new VOCALOID and they’ll turn it into a real VOCALOID.
It has to be new for the contest. No past UTAU designs or anything.
It can be sent in as a postcard (48mm × 100mm) and it has to be mailed with ¥50 stamps. There’s also a way to send something in through Pixiv, but I can’t figure out how.
Deadline’s April 24th.

You can also buy tickets to see MikuPa![/url:1zxfbsjr] streaming live online. ¥2000 which is about $20. March 9th. Only a bit of time left.

An album recently came out which I think might be cool because you don’t see these genres with VOCALOID often. So then. Good2Go!![/url:1zxfbsjr] is a VOCALOID Black Music Compilation album. If you have a NicoNicoDouga acount, you can hear the Crossfade Demo[/url:1zxfbsjr].

Yeah. Not much new in the world of VOCALOID. 8P

Alright! We have us a clip of a rehearsal for Miku’s next live concert!
Hatsune Miku Live Rehearsal[/url:2ps4mxj1]
Song: World’s End Dancehall
Artist: Wowaka
VOCALOIDs: Miku Hatsune + Luka Megurine

Can’t wait to see them projected on the big pane of glass~
AS a reminder, the concerts coming up pretty soon. You can still buy tickets to view it live online streaming through NicoNicoDouga.
Hatsune Miku Live Party 2011[/url:2ps4mxj1]
Remember that if you’re planning to view the concert, some timezone conversions will need to be made. In Japan, it’s 18:00(6pm) to 21:00(9pm)
So for me (GMT-7) It’s actually 2:00am – 5:00am. :U Fun.

VY2 (Japanese/Unisex)[/url:2awlriv6] has been in development for some time. It wouldn’t surprise me if he is to be the last VOCALOID2. The VY series is praised for high quality and flexibility, so it’ll be interesting to see what producers can do with his voice.

Youtube user ChezzieChan[/url:2awlriv6] has started to create a multilingual voice library for UTAU in hopes to have smooth transitions from syllable to syllable. Reminder that UTAU is free for all to use and no professional companies are making voices for it. She did this on her own free time with great results. No news of a release date. You can listen to the english library progress and see the UTAU program in action here:

Not a lot happening because VOCALOID3 is scheduled. No one wil be making V2 voices anymore. Nothing new with CRYPTON. They’re making "english Miku" and "KAITO upgrade." No news from Internet with "Megpoid extend." Not even anything on "MacNe Nana whisper."
We’ll just have to wait.

Looks like America got their first Vipper made VOCALOID.
Meet Ange Wayne[/url:jenxxld4].

She’s fake. Trying to trick people into thinking she’s a real VOCALOID. It’s easy to spot, because us fans who follow the VOCALOIDs have had this happen four times with VipperLoids: Teto Kasane, Ruko Yokune, Ritsu Namine and Tei Sukone.

I give Ange’s creators props though. For one, they paid for a domain name. Two, the artwork is original and I quite like it truthfully. And three, from what I can tell, the demo song is original as well. I can’t find it anywhere else on the internet.

They did some things wrong though. One, its on a blog site that has no name of the company or copyrights or anything. Two, the vocals in her ‘demo song’ sound WAY to realistic to be VOCALOID. I doubt even the upcoming VOCALOID3 will be that realistic.

I wouldn’t mind if she was the first American VOCALOID though. She’s got one of the voices VOCALOID’s lacking and it sounds good.

GREAT NEWS FOR ALL VOCALOID USERS!

1. VOCALISTENER is going to be released soon!

There was a tweet by Y2Project that roughly translates to this.
""It is a composition song with は head family VocaListener( ぼかりす), but pushes forward [b:2epv7fx5]release preparations[/b:2epv7fx5] so that all of you can experience this quality. Because I announce it by a proper timing, already wait a minute."

If you haven’t heard VOCALISTENER, check out the video here[/url:2epv7fx5] to see what the software does to a VOCALOID’s vocals!

A second big thing happened recently as well… Actually… More like three big things, but 3 (technically 4) new VOCALOID VoiceBanks have had samples released!

Those would be
Megpoid Extend POWER[/url:2epv7fx5]
KAITO Append Power+Whisper and [u:2epv7fx5]ENGLISH MIKU[/u:2epv7fx5] (40% complete)[/url:2epv7fx5]

Note that English Miku is not yet even close to completion and they’re using English Luka to fill in the gaps. Still, I’m excited to hear how the final version will sound!

Hi All, CF
That was really cool. Audio to Midi using your own voice as input.

Anyone with music software can try out various audio to midi plugins.

And or audio to midi convertors.

I can also use my real time Voice to Midi Hardware, the MidiVox.

MidiVox has a BioSensor Neckband that reads voice box, pitch, bend, slide, micropitch, vibrato and volume from vocal cord and voice box, pitch, shape, movement, energy and volume. It does not read audio at all.

A MidiVox rack mount converts the live real time vocal cords information and outputs it in real time to midi, synth voice waveform, gate out, lovel gate and binary which you can plug into a scope.

So I can hum a violin, yell an air guitar, scat sing a sax, whisper a flute, play any midi synth or soundcard or software by humming, scat singing and singing.

We ran out of parts and some major parts are no longer made. So that ended that business.

Happy Vocaloid Singing
