Hi edstratton,

Yes …. I have Lola. I just got it. I’m not sure how to say this, so I’ll put it another way. What is your opinion of the vocal pronunciation quality(default settings), compared to a high end standard text to speech app ?
Cheers Jimbo

Hi Ed,

I’ve just discovered who you are, so my question above can be ignored.
Let me start again.
I’ve listened to all the mp3 demos and was completely blown away by the ‘Kimi No Uwasa’ Japanese demo. There is obviously a learning curve here, in order to get the best results from Vocaloid, but in the meantime, is there a .mid file demo available of the vocal for ‘Kimi No Uwasa’ ?
This would really show off the capabilities of the software to first timers.
Cheers Jimbo

Hi Jimbo,

Unfortunately the .mid files for “Kimi No Uwasa” were made by Yamaha using the prototype Japanese voices a year or more ago. I very much doubt it would play using Lola. The reason is because Japanese uses different phonetic symbols because the language is so different from English.

It would be interesting to look at the expression data in the midi files, even if our English vocaloid voices cant actually sing it…. Ed would have to politely ask Yamaha for the files.

This site will be officially announced in the next day or so, so we should have some more visitors soon. You turned up while we were still finishing the site! it is still rough round the edges, but seems to work ok. Constructive criticism welcome!

Hi! I made it here. Nice to see the official Vocaloid forum come together. Is there any chance we can see the forum on its own with it being stuck in this narrow frame? I find the text on the left distracting.

See you guys around :D

Hi Ed and my fellow Vocaloid owners :)

Glad the site’s now up and running. Nice to have a home devoted to Vocaloid. I’m looking forward to more tutorials and midi files to help me in my quest to get more realism in my harmonies etc. Not that I only want to use Leon for that. I’m sure there are some wild sounds going to be heard from Leon and Lola.

Catch you later [img:3lj9mp9s]http://www.broadband4blackpool.org.uk/images/thumb.gif[/img:3lj9mp9s]
