On holiday?
Yes it is quiet. Maybe there’s no more to say!! I think we seemed to have exhausted the Vocaloid discussion, though I’m surprised the launch of Miriam has done nothing to inject more life into the forum. Maybe it’s because it was just “more of the same”. I didn’t buy Miriam and won’t be doing so in the future. I haven’t done any more work with Lola other than put the Nebula “movie” on here. The “A for Andromeda” project is on hold now as Ive enrolled on a course for “Film and TV Composition”. I’ve been working on my 1st assignment and the course should take about a year. I may use Lola from time to time in the music I have to produce, if so I’ll post it on here. It’s an internet-based course so I can carry on with my main job, though I’ve reduced the hours I work (and my pay!!!) to give me more time on the music. It’s more of an incentive now to earn mony from what I do musically – which I suppose has always been the objective.
So – I, at least, am still around……
Cheers
Chris

Hi Chris

I wish you the best of luck with your course.

I must admit, I kind of gave up for a while, mainly because I have started a new job as a Postman. Its not too bad a job. the money is good. But it is physically very tiring. By the time I get home, all I am good for is a nice long shower and bed. I guess once I get used to it things will get better. I have also enrolled on a computer course, (computer maintainance and repair), this is home base, so I fit that in between sleep.

I have tried the Miriam demo, I must admit I am impressed with the result. Albeit the fact that the vocabulary is somewhat limited, but the clarity of the voice is a lot better. I had hope of getting it last weekend, but unfortunately there was none available at my normal supplier.

Even Gray has not uploaded any music of late. I guess he is on holiday as well.

Robert

Hi guys,

I have finished a crude approximation of a Gregorian Chant with Miriam and am trying to figure out how to make it sound a bit more “human.” Plus, there are a few sounds it seems like I just can’t get her to make!! I am as old as dirt :D and have been working full time for ages…. so I know what a job can do to your music! I hope to retire in 5-6 years and devote more time to music. As soon as I figure out intelligent ways to ask questions I will post a bit more or when I like the loop more. Good luck with the composing course and the new job!

Take Care

I’m concentrating more on songwriting. But I will be posting anything new that has vocals. A little time in the hospital slowed me down a bit, but I’m doing better now.
