Hello Everyone,
Later on this week, I will redeem for Zero G Download Shop coupon for another Vocaloid 2 Download. I have to be here all day Thursday waiting for the TV Repair guy, so good day to download and install a new Vocaloid 2.

I already own Miriam, Leon, Lola, and Prima. So my choice is Tonio or Sonika.

Which one would you buy? Or if you already own Tonio and Sonika, what do you do with them and do you like their Vocaloid Singing.

Oh… that’s so hard… DX

I’ve only used SONiKA. She’s lower quality than Tonio and requires some work to use, but her voice is extremely flexible and can be used for most genres while Tonio is pretty much set for only Opera and Classical.

Tonio, however, is definitely higher quality and I’m guessing easier to use without all of the editing you’d need to do for SONiKA.

I guess you should just think of the type of music you’re thinking of using VOCALOID for mostly.
Sorry that wasn’t terribly great help. They’re both amazing, but they’re completely different, so it’s definitely hard to choose one.
Plus, I’m half asleep, so I’m not really thinking or typing correctly. :U
Good luck nonetheless~

Hi All, CF
Since I have 3 female Vocaloids and 1 male , I am leaning towards Tonio.
Now that I have the Real Time VST working in both Cakewalk and Florida Studio, it is very easy to change the the sound of the Vocaloid totally.

I have not used the Vocaloid 2 Singer Edit screen yet, because in Vocaloid 2 the developers locked the Singer Edit screen with the stand alone V2 editor to read only. Why I have no idea. And when I asked about this, I never got an answer.

With V2 now, you have to close the stand alone editor. And then go to the Vocaloid 2 program start up folder and then is a Vocaloid 2 stand alone Singer Editor, that opens just the Singer Edit screen.

You would copy Prima a few times there and give your Prima copies different names and then edit your newly named singers. Then open the Singer Editor screen. Open up your V2 stand alone editor and then your newly named and edited singer now is in your read only Singers List.

The Singer Real Time Sliders in VST or Rewire mode have the same values, well close enough, from 0 to 1oo, and O to – 100. So you would write down your Real Time Slider Numbers, then put those in manually to the stand alone Singer Edit window, which goes from 0 to 127 and 0 to – 127.

I will be happy to list some Singer Edits Slider Numbers to try out. And you can try them with whatever Vocaloids you have. I will post them under User Tips and Tricks in a few days.

Anyway, for my current Vocaloid Project, Tuning Your Voice With Sounds, to go with my family singing course. Teach Yourself Singing, If You Can Talk You Can Sing. The Vocaloids do not have to sing any words at all, since the entire project is just Vocal Sounds.

Hi All,
Since I am just watching a movie, Prince of Persia. I decided to buy download Tonio. Got a PayPal Zero G Download Shop Message, Zero G Discount Code for buying download Leon was not a valid discount code.

The Zero G discount code ads, said the discount code was good on any purchase from the Zero G Download Shop.

Anyone else get the discount code to work?

I emailed Zero G and asked about it.

Hi All, IMOS,
The Zero G discount code only good on V1 Vocaloids, plus any other Zero G products. So I used the code to download Voices of Africa Samples for less than 5 bucks.

For you Miriam fans, Miriam Stockley was the choir director on this sample CD of African chants and vocal clips.

Now that I have an 1 minute loop of Prima singing chords, I will go in and use the real time sliders and write down some of the settings for voice quality and tone color settings.
