All the demos I have listened to are always are in a relative slow tempo. Is vocaloid not any good for fast rock stuff?

I don’t think there is any technical reason favouring using Vocaloid for slow tempo songs. In fact I’m sure there are some faster tempo songs that have been submitted, though maybe not many in the current top 10 lists. Personally I think Vocaloid has lots of potential for dance music, which tends to be hi-tempo :)

The key may be to use it for short phrases, rather than long and complex vocal lines :?:

I agree. In fact, Vocaloid is probably better at singing fast runs than long held notes. The long notes expose the (sometimes odd) vowel sounds. Vocaloid is capable of singing faster than any human singer. I uploaded a demo way back which illustrates this. It was just for fun, but shows what’s possible. The “words” are just do be do etc. The amount of time spent inputting text into Vocaloid is one of the offputting characteristics. The song is “[b:3s9ole9x]Flight of the Bumble Bee[/b:3s9ole9x]”. It’s an MP3. Just go to dowloads and type in “flight” as a search word.
PS. Hi everyone!
I haven’t been here for a while – it’s very quiet. Hope you are all well. I’m progressing on my Film and Media composition course. Interesting so far. I’m working on the background music to a cartoon at the moment as one of my assignments.
Best wishes <img class=” />

Hi andromeda

A very good demo thanks.

I am still wondering how does vocaloid sound with the pronunciation of english words at such a speed?

Vocaloid is similar to a human singer. Certain sounds take longer to develop than others. T sounds and D sounds can be sung quicker than V or S sounds.etc etc
