I’m a spanish boy. I had like that vocaloid was better, but I’m totally dissapointed with this software, its a fake. But thats the initial way for this software, the ride is long. Excuse me for my English..

I wish in the future VOCALOID sould be better than today.

What exactly disappointed you? I know that in the beginning it may have been frustrating because I went through the same thing, but after sitting down and reading up the manual and taking time to do the phrases I am happy with the results. I am still no good with Leon though, he sounds like he’s on antares autotune or some kinda vocoder hehe, but Miriam, she’s just awesome! Please give it some time, this is the best one I’ve found out there for emulating voice, but yes there is a long way to go for voice synthesis so don’t expect any miracles without putting in the work. I urge you to play around with it a bit more, and if you haven’t upgraded to 1.1.0 please do so, it works well for me now. Now that I have had some luck with Miriam and partially with Leon, I can’t wait to buy Lola and Meiko and whatever other voices are out there. Good luck!

Have to disagree with the original poster too…
You will get out of it what you put in. If you are not doing a lot of fine tuning of expression and dynamics then, yes, it will sound crap … but keep tweaking it and you can and will get it to sound indistinguishable from a real human singer. Some phrases and words seem to need more work than others. Also, don’t necessarily accept the default phoneme transformation that Vocaloid generates..

I have the Miriam vocaloid. From what I’ve heard of Leon and Lola I’m not so sure that they are as natural sounding as Miriam can be.

Make sure you load the 1.2 update for Miriam too..

You need to put some work into this product to get good results out of it. After all, we are trying to reproduce the sounds of something as ‘organic’ as the human voice !!

I often wonder why the purchasers of EXPENSIVE software like this have to put the hard work, time and effort in to make it sound any where near as good as the creators had promised.
I feel as if ‘we’ are doing the research for them to help improve their product,in which we shall pay more for ‘improved versions’ !
The words ‘user friendly’ and ‘product satisfaction’ are also not compatable with any software that requires you to spend time after time in getting it to work right – and even then, the result is probably somewhat disappointing.
