Robot Archie very rightly pointed out to me that because of the anti leeching password function, you cannot right click and save a midi file on the downloads section. You can only left click and it doesnt give you the option to save the file. Instead it opens the file in your default midi file player. This is most annoying.

So I have modified it so it now presents you with a link. So you now have the choice whether to left click to open or right click and select “save target as” (to save it).

I hope this is a better system for you, please try it and let me know if any probs.

Thanks Joe! Seems to be fine now. The sequence is : Left click – to select the file, fill in the security code in the box, left click on ‘download now’ button , right click on the filename = save to disk.

:D

Thank you for your kind words Chris(Andromeda). They are very encouraging. A lot of hours was put into this effort. I have hardly any hair left on my cranium. But it was worth it!…… I think.

I would also very much like to know what did happened to Jenifer Rush. She was very cool.

Have you installed the update yet? I am having problems with it.
(more hair coming off!…….Ha.Ha.Ha……..).

Dear Leon is amusing!…..

All the best

Robert

Yes, just installed the update. Haven’t had much time to examine it. It didn’t seem lightening-fast on the rendering but the synthesis while play worked fine except that I had to increase the buffer size when the number of voice tracks reached 4. I did have it set originally to 100ms though, the minimum value. I don’t use VSTi (yet) so that is a pleasure(?) still to come. I also need to see how some of my old midi files now sound on the new version. The one I did try seemed the same to me. I have also pulled all the (remaining) hairs out of my head – at the moment I’ve got writer’s block – can’t find any inspiration to write the next bit of the “A for Andromeda” project. I suppose it’s my fault for starting with the last two parts. I need three more tracks. Two instrumental (The Signal and The Machine) and one Vocaloid called “Christine”. Christine was the lab assistant who was electrocuted by the computer and whose DNA patterns were copied to produce the android. Oh well, something to think about over the weekend.
Best wishes
Chris
