Very good job on this 1. I’m hoping Ilm will post this demo and backing track so I can listen again with a little less reverb. Thats the only complaint I have on the Mp3. I tend to overdo reverb a bit myself. Was that song a Billie Holiday tune? I’m sure I’ve heard it somewhere.

Gray, I’ll post the vocaloid midis and backing tracks soon. I have a few things I have to sort out with the backing tracks and the B4 presets before I can post, but will try to get them up there as soon as I can.

I’m not sure whether Billie Holiday recorded the tune, but it was originally recorded by Mamie Smith and the Jazz Hounds. It actually has the distinction of being the first commercial recording of a blues tune by a black artist. There are other versions of the tune by performers such as Leon Redbone. All the recordings of the tune that I have heard are all up tempo, about twice as fast as the version that I posted.

Another interesting thing is that it is not based on a 12 bar blues form. So maybe that’s what the title also suggests.

Gray, I’ve submitted the midi files for Crazy Blues, so they should appear as soon as they are validated. Enjoy…

Thanks, I appreciate. If we can get more users to submit midi’s maybe between the lot of us we can figure out better ways to get vocaloid sounding good. I may be doing something you’re not and vice versa. I have found I can maje vocaloid sound somewhat more tolerable in mp3 by playing with the equalizer settings. Still not what I would cal good yet though.
