OS: Windows XP
Sound Card: M-Audio Delta 44
Processor: P4/2.66Ghz/2GB RAM
Vocaloid: Leon, Lola, plus 1.0.2.1 update

After activating Vocaloid (weeks ago!), my Vocaloid would not open today. ‘One or more Vocaloid components have not been activated’ (eh??). I put in the installation CDs, un-ticked the parts to install and it asked: ‘Activate Vocaloid?’ I clicked ‘Yes’ and entered the key again. When I try to run Vocaloid now, I get ‘Bad Mac address’ (eh??), Vocalid isn’t even available on Mac and I don’t have a Mac machine. Vocaloid also knocked-out my audio driver, which needed a reinstall. So I un-install it all and re-install, all is OK, except that Vocaloid will not run if I’m not online (eh??). Works OK now. One thing that mystifies me, but I’m not complaining, is that Vocaloid has remembered all the new words I had added to the User Dictionary, even after un-installing and rebooting they’re still there! <img class=” />. The un-install might not have been that complete after all.

BTW, when we have an update to reinstall as well, I assume that correct order of reinstall would be to install Vocaloid (both or all three if you have them) first, then install the update last? That’s how I did it.

In such situations, its best to contact Zero-G Vocaloid tech support. Thats their job after all!!!

A couple of thoughts….

MAC address is nothing to do with mac computers, it is a unique ID for your network device, have you changed/removed your network device?

I had the “one or more vocaloid components have expired” message a while ago, is this the same thing you had? You shouldnt need to re-install, there is a program in the start menu under vocaloid called “activate”. just run it and insert your serial numbers and it will work again. I think its a bug because it happened again for me the next day, but since then it was fine! strange… I believe Yamaha are aware of this issue, hopefully a future update will sort it.

This isnt an “official” tech support forum, that’s all I meant. But I get your point completely. Tech support is busy, so users may well get quicker solutions here.

In which case it is probably a good idea for users who have solutions (or got a solution from tech support) to post them here…..

1. it will benefit other users who have the same problem much quicker
2. it will ease the load on the vocaloid tech support staff.

BUT, Having said all that please [b:1zyjxztc]DO[/b:1zyjxztc] contact tech support with tech problems whether you post here or not, because tech support need to be aware of problems and bugs users are encountering, even if they can’t fix the problems immediately. Also they will contact Yamaha for solutions if necesary.

(Remember you must have registered your serial number(s) on the Zero-G site before contacting tech support)

Vocaloid has to be activated through the internet and you must have a LAN card in your puter to activate, and to run thereafter. The registration info is installed in the LAN modem so if you ever update, keep the LAN card. Zero G is where you activate. You may already know this but I thought I would mention it just in case.

It’s just dawned on me, that the reason why Vocaloid will only run when I’m online, is that it’s using my USB broadband modem as the LAN CP thingie.

Well if vocaloid can barely say “the” how you expect it to tell your modems apart?? lol. joking… Glad you figured out where the problem lies. I would give advice on how to correct this, cept I aint that bright. I bet the admin can tell ya what to do though.

I repeatedly get the “One or more Vocaloid components have expired” error message, and it is a pain in the bum. Like someone else has mentioned, I fix it by re-entering the activation key (it is usually Lola, rather than Leon that is the problem, but she is a feisty hussy :D ).

I may be wrond, but it seems to happen if I have run something else that uses VSTi’s rather than my primary application (which is Cubase SX). For instance, if I run Wavelab 4 or Cubase VST 5, I always get the “expired” error on initial run of those applications.

Hi zoot, are you using your on-board USB modem as the network card? If you are, try Vocaloid when you’re connected to the internet.
