Can't Install...Can I use a USB network adapter?

I know I need a network adapter in my computer. But I am getting the much talked about error during install on my PC. I have a USB network adapter, not a PCI card type adapter. Is it necessary to actually have a “card”, or will a USB NIC work too?

Any other suggestions would also be appreciated. I paid good $$$ and cannot use this software as is.

Thanks,

Ron

Yes USB network devices should work fine.

Does it install properly if you unplug the USB device? Do you have any other network devices/modems etc installed?

IT DEFINATELY IS A DISC SPACE ISSUE FOLKS!!! After simply switcing to another drive with more space (I had only 2 gig available on my C drive), everything installed perfectly. Evidently Vocaloid needs far more disk space FOR THE INSTALLATION than it does for the resident program.

Be aware!!!

Thanks for the assistance.

I have a BT Broadband USB modem/network card and this is OK for Vocaloid. If I however disconnect from the Net (without physically removing the modem) I get an error message to the effect that some of my component parts of Vocaloid are out of date. What should I do/how do I use Vocaloid without being connected actively to the Net? Would appreciate the tip if someone knows.

I’m puzzled. I also have a BT USB broadband modem. The PC also has a network card. I always understood that it was the network card that is required to register Vocaloid. In my case it all worked fine. I do not need to be connected to the internet via USB in order to use Vocaloid. The USB connection is only needed if you don’t have a network card. You then get a USB Ethernet adaptor which acts as your network card.
Cheers
Chris
