Importing Midi Files (again!)

I know that this is similar in title to the thread below, but my question is so basic I didn’t want to hijack that thread. Ok, here’ s the deal:

If I import a type 1 midi file saved from Cubase, I cannot get Vocaloid to sing it, no matter what I do. There are no grey notes (so no overlaps, I presume), and I have also done JOB—>Normalise Object just in case. Yet, if I enter the notes manually in Vocaloid, same sound card settings etc, everything is fine and dandy.

This leads me to think that I am doing something wrong on the export from Cubase SX, or on the import.

Anyone had similar problems and can say “Hey Zoot, don’t be a dummy, look at page x of the manual and it will all be explained”?

Failing that, will anyone have a look at the midi file so that they can tell me what is wrong?

Cheers chaps.
