My computer has died - have I therefore lost my Vocaloids?

Can anyone help me please?!

I bought, downloaded and installed Prima and Tonio about a year ago. But recently my computer has died, completely, so I have no access to the two Vocaloids on there any more.

I now have a new laptop. How can I get my Prima and Tonio back onto the new laptop? If I go to the website to download them again I seem to be forced to pay again. Can this be true? Have I actually lost the Prima and Tonio that I paid for a year ago?

PS there's no way I can get anything back off the old computer now – it's totally dead.

Thanks for your help…..

Welcome.

Have you contacted Zero-G support? Definitely do that first if you haven't already.

Hi, Your hard disk is too damaged? If not, you can buy an adapter pci to usb cable and you can recover all the data of your hard drive to your new Pc

Best

Thanks for your help.

Administrator – yes I've emailed Zero-G and am waiting for a reply from them. I'lkl let you all know if I get an answer.

Giuseppe – the old computer can't even be started. I don't know whether I can attach the lead to it that you referred to, but I've read on another website that Vocaloid attaches itself to the network card of a computer, so even if I got my Vocaloid creations and software off the old PC and onto the new one, Vocaloid probably wouldn't work because it wouldn't recognise the network card on the new PC. Do I have to swap network cards over as well? I really just want to know whether I can download Tonio and Prima once again, to my new PC, without charge, given that I have paid for them already. If not, it seems a bit unfair. If so, how can it be done?

Thanks for your help so far folks!

Even if your old PC can not start, this may be a failure of the motherboard or power supply but the hard drive can be perfectly and can be started with other external power. With the cable adapter PCI/SATA to USB includes an external power, and you can retrieve the downloads and keys of your Vocaloids.
The registration keys are associated with a database on a server in Japan in order to activate the Vocaloids a maximum of 3 times on their computers.

The most important thing is to recover your downloads and Zero-G can provide a new registry keys.

Good luck
