Reason 2.5 and Vocaloid

Right now I am using Reason 2.5 but Vocaloid as standalone because I cannot get it to work with Reason 2.5
My question is has anyone been successful at using them together? I’ve got vocaloid working with other rewire capable software except Reason 2.5. If anyone has been able to do so, please tell me how you launched it and what settings in devices you used, I’ve tried launching it either way, with Reason as master and then launching Vocaloid or vice versa with no luck. Using Vocaloid 1.1.0 55 right now. I’m alright with using Vocaloid as a standalone, but I could do things quicker if I could get it working with Reason 2.5

So, if anyone has an idea, please reply to this post thanks.

Hello johnnok,

According to Propellerhead’s ReWire website (http://www.propellerheads.se/t…..es/rewire/ –>Click “ReWire product index), Reason is basically a “Synth application” (ReWire slave). Vocaloid is a “Synth application” as well. This is why Vocaloid does not work with Reason 2.5 with ReWire. Both are slaves.

In order to work with ReWire you will need to launch one “Mixer application” e.g. Cubase SX, etc, connect Vocaloid and Reason with the host through ReWire.

Thank you very much, I’ve had no problems using vocaloid with audition/cubase/nuendo and such, just Reason is all. Now that is cleared up I shall just use it as standalone when I have reason running which is no big deal. :) (I think running it through nuendo to host both reason and vocaloid will be too slow for my system at the moment, using a 1.3 gig duron). Thanks for the information!
