Hi Everyone,
Still no audio with my Vocaloid in Florida Studio, so posted for help in their user forum.

Meanwhile I tested Vocaloid 2 VST Real Time in my Cakewalk Sonar Home Studio 7XL.

1. Create or open a blank project with no tracks.
2. Add one instrument track. Insert Vocaloid 2 Realtime VST as your instrument.
3. The V2 Realtime Control Panel should open and show immediately.
4. Check and adjust V2 settings on the right side of your V2 Control Panel.
5. Select your V2 Singer in the Singers Window, in my case Prima.
6. Open the new lyric entry window. Type in a few La, or Ahs for a test.
7. Hit the lyric transform button.
8. Open the Cakewalk Piano Roll. Draw in a few long notes starting at few measures or beats in, to give the singer time to load.
9. Rewind to beginning of piano roll.
10/ Hit Play on your Cakewalk Transport and as fast as possible then hit play on your V2 lyric window. After your singer loads, you should hear lovely singing.
11. Type in 3 or 4 words in the lyric window, transform them and play them back. My PC was not fast enough to playback words.
12. Try entering notes in the piano roll with a midi keyboard or midi guitar.
13. You can save entire lyrics that you type in the lyric window.
14. As the V2 is singing, you can move all the V2 Control Panels real time sliders. And hear what the gender slider, brightness, clearness , open, actually do to change the sound of the Vocaloid.
15. Dont forget to save your project file or export or save as a midi file and or a wav or mp3.

The above should work in most PC Music programs that support instruments plugs ins. The Vocaloid is not an effects plug in. But an software synth or instrument plug in.

Hi Everyone,
Tonight I tried the Vocaloid 2 Real Time VST with my older version of Cakewalk Sonar Home Studio 6. And V2 works perfectly.

The only change I made to the Vocaloid 2 Control Panel was under Settings I set the sample quality to low. The singing still sounds good on low.

That removed any long rendering delay. And the V2 Prima started singing imediately.

I had Prima sing. La La La I Love Music. Music Loves Me.

I do not know if Cakewalk or anyone else sells older versions of their software but Cakewalk Sonar Home Studio 6 works on XP and Vista.

Tomorrow I will try playing Prima Live with a Midi Guitar.

The Cakewalk Piano Roll has full audio of Prima Singing when you enter notes, and drag and move them around.
