I just tried this and Lola sounds fine to me but, as always, it’s a matter of context. :?
What pitch is the note? – the higher it is the more it seems to deviate
Is it a long or short note? On a long note it will always be a problem because of the change of the vowel sound from the initial a to the final I
Are the two syllables on the same note?
Vocaloid gives the phonemes as h aI which ought to sound right.
Hayding is more h eI
On short notes she’s probably ok. Can you make the note on the syllable Hi much shorter?
Sorry not much help really, was I? <img class=” />

Try two different words “hi” and “ding” I do this when ever possible, as it eliminates a lot of problems. Vocaloid likes to tell you how to break up words and often not in the way you want. Experiment! Use an extra track to test your words/syllables on.

The i sounds seem to be the most troublesome in vocaloid. I have problems with the long i also in many words. It is all pitch and notelength dependent. Andromeda taught me a few tricks about lengthening the consonat sounds that helped some. Double click note then click settings then click settings again in the next view.

Call me Mr.Grumpy, but dammit – today I was just thinking that I shouldn’t be having to struggle and experiment on a suck-it-and-see basis with every piggin’ word that this squawker aches to produces. This damned software sucks. The control interface is just far too much like unnecessary hard work. Would the Vocaloid editor benefit from “boil-in-the-bag” plug-in style templates like the NTONYX people are developing for their own proprietary software to speed up the whole sorry cycle? I could spit today……

Okay Mr. Grumpy. Who peed in your Sugar smacks? LOL You wouldn’t trade your vocaloid for 200 bucks back. Hopefully the new upgrade will help some. I know where you’re coming from though.
